Intake unit

Seljaskóli hosts one of two intake units in Reykjavík for students seeking international protection. The intake unit was established in spring 2019, initially operating at Álftamýrarskóli. In spring 2022, the unit moved to Seljaskóli. In cooperation with Miðberg, it is housed in the Vinasel youth center on the edge of the Seljaskóli grounds. In fall 2024, the unit split. Students in grades 1-5 now attend the intake unit at Breiðagerðisskóli, while those in grades 6-10 remain at Seljaskóli.
