Reporting bullying
Guardians can contact the homeroom teacher, school counselor or school administrators. Report suspected bullying on a special form.
- Download bullying report form
The response process begins when a bullying report is received. The process is divided into: - investigation
- resolution
- follow-up
The process emphasizes collaboration between school and parents to best resolve each case. Maintaining strict confidentiality in handling bullying cases is crucial. The anti-bullying team begins work when suspicion of bullying is confirmed. The team includes the victim's homeroom teacher as the key member, along with the school counselor and a school administrator.
All case details are recorded in a special folder. It contains copies of the entire work process, investigation records, meeting minutes and case processing. When the case concludes, the documents are stored in the student's personal file.
Student snacks
Seljaskóli emphasizes healthy snacks to provide students with energy and endurance. Healthy snacks include fruits, vegetables or bread with nutritious toppings. Water is the only drink students may bring to school. Seljaskóli is a nut-free school. Remember that nuts are found in many items such as peanut butter, nut yogurt, some bakery breads, satay sauce, etc.
Lost and found
Students forget items at school daily, such as keys, hats and gloves. Parents should clearly label all clothing. School aides sort and store lost clothing, while the school office keeps keys, phones and jewelry. At the start of each school year, unclaimed items go to the Red Cross.
