The Lion King premieres!
5th grade students perform The Lion King!
Students in 5th grade recently premiered the play The Lion King!
They gave six performances for school students and parents. The production went all out with significant effort put into the exhibit. Teachers and students worked together to transform Bláberið (Seljaskóli's hall) into Pride Rock, transporting the audience into the magical world of theater.
Students created the set with Maggý, the 5th grade homeroom teacher. Ingibjörg and Tóka, also 5th grade homeroom teachers, rehearsed the text and songs with the students. Sandra, the performing arts teacher, directed the play, managed the music, and choreographed the movements while designing all costumes. Dagný, the school's art teacher, designed and made excellent hyena masks.
Students worked very hard during rehearsals and shone brightly on stage. We are so proud of these kids!
